Experience all the natural wonders that Furnas valley has to offer from magical secret gardens, natural thermal pools (*optional) , steam vents and fumaroles to a magnificent gastronomy experience cooked with the power of the volcanoes (*optional).

Departing from Ponta Delgada towards one of the most emblematic villages of the Azores where the volcanic nature of the islands is most readily apparent our first stop will be at the walking trail of Pico do Ferro with its outstanding landscape - and one of the best sights for an overview of Furnas Lake - that will make you wonder if you are in a fairy tale. This trail its a circular one done in muddy flat terrain and it takes more or less 1 hour and 30 minutes to be completed. We recommend you to bring your camera full charged and anti slippery shoes. Our next stop will be at Terra Nostra Botanical Garden - the first, oldest and charmer botanical garden of the Azores - where you can enjoy a dip in the thermal pools and natural jacuzzis surrounded by the most greenest scenery (entrance fees not included). You're experience at Furnas won't be complete until you try our traditional dish the cozido  famous mainly for being cooked underground and our ananás for desert (optional). After lunch you will be wrapped by the great volcanic activity existent on this valley like the steam vents, the fumaroles and the mineral waters fountains with various temperatures and flavours that gushes from the lava walls making this place one of the most richest hydrological region of Europe. On our way back to Ponta Delgada we will still have time to stop at the Gorreana Tea Factory for you to enjoy a comforting teacup at the only Tea Plantation in Europe!
