Explore the central massif of Serra de Água de Pau on a comfortable, 6 leather seats with A/C, 4WD tour: See Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake), the 2nd largest lake on the island and consider to be one of the 10 most beautiful wild beaches in the World - with tracks that are lined by native flora the entire area was classified by the European Commission as a Special Area of Conservation and part of the Natura 2000 network. Stop at Caldeira Velha to regain energy with a dip in natural thermal pools surrounded by the most lushly endemic vegetation (entrances fees not included). In case that you wish, your gastronomy experience will be at Ribeira Grande town the second biggest town of São Miguel island and also consider to be the capital of surf of the Azores islands. After lunch a small walk around the town also known for having the most buildings with the "Manuelino" architectural Portuguese style its a must do followed by a visit to the awarded local liquor factory for a taste of our local liquors being the most famous one Liquor de Maracujá (Passion fruit liquor) that has already 6 Golden medals. We recommend you to bring walking boots, swimming suits and towels.
