Driving along the coastline our first stop will be at Ponta da Ferraria for you to delight yourself with a dip in warm Atlantic waters. For the ones that prefer quieter waters the Thermal Pools of the SPA of Ferraria are a perfect option (entrance fees at the SPA not included). With your energy full boosted its time to explore what is named as one of the most beautiful 7 wonders of Portugal - Sete Cidades. Due to its dirt and rugged terrain this place is consider to be the most unique and emblematic place of all the 9 islands of the Azores to explore with a 4X4 vehicle the most dramatic stage of the European Rally Championship (ERC) with stunning views accessible only to some. After the rush of doing the rim of the volcano its time for a stop at the village inside the biggest volcano crater of the Azores. In case that you wish, this is the right place for you to try the real typical Azorean flavours (lunch is optional) or to walk around the parish to comtemplate the amazing twin lakes with two different colours of blue and green and take pictures of the locals doing their daily routines. On our way to Ponta Delgada there’s still time to visit Grota do Inferno viewpoint accessed only by a short walking dirty trail and considered by many to be one of the most beautiful trails in the world!

 

YOU CAN ADD

For active nature lovers this tour can also be provided with a hiking trail to Serra Devassa (optional) done in steep muddy terrain with several viewpoints along the way where you can contemplate the lush vegetation and the unique overviews to Lagoa das Éguas and Empadadas Lakes. This walk takes more or less 2 hours/2h 30m to be complete and we recommend the use of walking boots and sticks.
