Trip Description

This tour was designed for those (un)experienced Fishermans that would like to spend a family day at sea with their family and friends.

Navigating along the coast towards the East of Sao Miguel island you and your party will have the opportunity to experience several coastal fishing techniques like trolling and button sea fishing always escorted by the magnificent landscape of Ponta Delgada and Lagoa - 2 of the 3 main towns of the island - and sometimes also by some sea birds like Shearwaters and Terns.

Before our arrival to Vila Franca do Campo - known for having been the first Capital of the Azores - to taste the fish that you caught at a local restaurant there’s still time for a dip in Caloura, a much appreciated bathing area by the locals also dubbed by them for being the Azorean Beverly Hills due to its very expensive houses and, where you can observe the cliffs drawn by lava and covered by Endemic Flora which describes well the volcanic origin of our Island. After lunch there’s still time to navigate around Vila Franca do Campo islet, a Natural Reserve of the Azores, where every year the Red Bull Cliff Diving takes place attracting hundreds of people. Our way back to Ponta Delgada will be done a little bit more offshore to try to see some sea wildlife enjoying the wonders of their natural habitat.
